Ordering pizza to a hotel in Amsterdam: what to check first

By Pizzadam 3 min read

Ordering pizza to a hotel in Amsterdam starts with two checks: does your hotel accept outside food, and is delivery available for its exact address? Once both are confirmed, agree where you will meet the driver. A hotel name or room number on its own is not a delivery address.

Ask reception before you order

Ask whether you may bring an outside order into the hotel, where to collect it and where you may eat it. Check with your own property, even if another hotel has allowed it before. A restaurant delivery is separate from hotel room service.

A useful question is: “Can I order food here, and should I meet the driver at reception or at the entrance?” If there are several entrances, ask which one to use. Do not assume that reception will collect the order for you or bring it to your room.

Use the hotel address, not a nearby landmark

Copy the street address from your booking details or the hotel’s official contact page, then confirm it with reception if anything is unclear. Check the street, house number, postcode and city before continuing. The address of an attraction you visited earlier will not tell the ordering system where you are staying.

Open Pizzadam’s online ordering site, choose delivery and check the address you want to use. Pizzadam has several Amsterdam branches, but that does not mean every hotel or Amsterdam address is covered. Use the availability shown for your address.

Check delivery hours and the order details

Review the delivery option, any time information, the selected items and the total before confirming. Collection and delivery are different services, so an available collection option does not confirm that delivery is available too.

For branch information, use our locations overview. For example, Pizzadam Amsterdam Centrum is at Rozengracht 35. Its branch page lists contact details and opening hours.

Make the handover easy

Give a phone number on which you can receive a call during your stay. If you provide delivery instructions, keep them short and match the meeting point agreed with reception. For example: “Please call when you arrive. I will meet you at the main entrance.” Use this only if that is where you will actually be.

  • Keep your phone nearby and be ready to collect the order yourself.
  • Save the order confirmation so you can refer to the correct order and branch.
  • If you need to clarify the handover, contact the branch using its published contact details.

If delivery is unavailable, you can check collection at a suitable Pizzadam branch. Confirm the branch address and collection availability before leaving the hotel.
