From passion to Pizzadam

Pizzadam grew from the shared passion of Saim and Samil, two university-educated Dutch founders with a love for flavour, quality and hospitality. One is a philosopher, the other a physics engineer. From a young age, they enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

What began as a love for good food became their own pizzeria in the Indische Buurt in Amsterdam. There, they quickly earned the appreciation of a loyal group of pizza lovers. Their quality was also noticed nationally. In the programme Lekker Laat by Paul de Leeuw, their pizza was named the best in the Netherlands.

Pizzadam’s vision is clear: pizza should simply be exceptionally delicious. That is why quality comes first in everything they do. With attention to taste, craft and experience, Saim and Samil developed a style that is not purely Italian and not purely American. It is pizza with a clear Dutch signature, recognisable from the first bite.

Since 2018, their ideas, recipes and ambitions have come together in Pizzadam. What started as a local favourite has grown into a strong concept with character, quality and ambition.
