Pizzadam was founded by Saim and Samil, two university educated Dutch entrepreneurs with a shared passion for taste, quality, and hospitality. One studied philosophy, the other engineering physics. From a young age, both found joy in cooking for family and friends.

What began as a love for great food grew into a small pizzeria in Amsterdam’s Indische Buurt. It did not take long for Pizzadam to stand out. Loyal customers quickly recognized its quality, and national recognition soon followed. During the television program Lekker Laat hosted by Paul de Leeuw, their pizza was selected as the best in the Netherlands.

Their success is built on a simple but uncompromising belief. Pizza should be exceptional. That is why quality is never left to chance at Pizzadam. Not everyone is allowed to step into a Pizzadam kitchen. Every pizza reflects a clear vision of craftsmanship, consistency, and taste.

Pizzadam is neither traditionally Italian nor American. It has a distinctly Dutch identity, developed around flavor, character, and experience. According to Saim and Samil, you understand exactly what that means from the very first bite.

Since 2018, their ideas, recipes, and ambitions have come together under the Pizzadam formula. What started as a local favorite has grown into a strong brand with character, quality, and ambition. Today, multiple candidates apply to join the brand through a carefully selected franchise process.
